The Environment Studio FaVU VUT in Brno

Our studio is one of several intermedia and interdisciplinary focused studios at Faculty of Fine Arts. Environment is considered here, in the broadest sense of the term, as that which surrounds us, what it is we have in common. We emphasize that art does not come into being in a vacuum, but in specific spatial, social, political, and cultural contexts (among others). We draw from the tradition of conceptualism, land art, and site-specific art, rather than from classic art disciplines. Romana Hnízdilová: Everything is true

The collection of digital collages which are inspired by a fascination by randomly selected flat lay pictures on instagram. The shapes are the carriers of emotions here. The objects that are covered by geometrical shapes are not really identifiable anymore. Thus the world of the objects fades away and I am entering an entirely new world, the World without meanings and naming conventions. I am giving up the necessity to recognize and label everything there is. The full rationale behind the project is to be found on my instagram page where I added hashtags with individual collages.
